King Salman to visit White House on Sept. 4. 2015

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman Bin Abdulaziz will meet with United States President Barack Obama in Washington on Sept. 4, the White House confirmed on Thursday.

“The president and the king will discuss a range of issues and focus on ways to further strengthen the bilateral relationship, including counter-terrorism efforts,” White House spokesman Josh Earnest told reporters aboard Air Force One.

The two leaders will discuss Yemen, Syria and steps to counter Iran’s destabilizing activities in the region, Al-Arabiya reported.

The visit will mark King Salman’s first official visit to the US since ascending to the throne. — Al Arabiya
